New Patients

Whether you're new to acupuncture or new to our clinic, we're happy you're here. Below you'll find a brief description of what to expect.

The first visit will take a little more than an hour. The first step is always a conversation. We want to make sure we cover all relevant medical history before we begin any treatment, and that our patients are comfortable and know what to expect from their provider. The best corrective work starts with quality detective work. 

The treatment itself will involve acupuncture and Tuina, as well as any adjunct therapies necessary for the condition. Even during an acupuncture appointment, Tuina is still utilized to help effect change. The two modalities work in concert to activate and access the necessary resources and processes within the body. Tuina is not only therapeutic, but helps in forming a diagnosis as well.

Please eat and hydrate prior to your visit, and wear comfortable clothing. The most important part of any treatment is patient comfort and care.
